Global Curriculum
At Whyteleafe School, we aim to offer a broad curriculum which embraces a wide range of cultures and promotes diversity. We aim to develop an understanding of cultural, linguistic and religious diversity which is embedded in the whole school curriculum and developed through teaching and learning
In all subject areas, we offer children opportunities to experience and understand differences between people and their beliefs. We promote the teaching of diverse significant individuals that have helped shape modern Britain, integrating wider British and World history, so that all pupils are able to appreciate Britain for its multiculturalism, multi-faith diversity.
Did you know 31 languages are spoken at Whyteleafe School? We celebrate the diversity within our school so that the children can see themselves in their school’s curriculum offer.
We celebrate a range of events across the school which promote diversity to children and teaches them respect of different beliefs and cultures. Events include Black History Month, Diwali, Chinese New Year, Holi and Eid plus many more!
We aim to break prejudice and prepare pupils to be knowledgeable and respectful citizens of Britain.
