KS2 Times Tables
Introduction
Times tables (as well as addition, subtraction and division facts) are the building blocks for many more complicated calculations. If children are secure with these facts and can rapidly recall them, they will not have to over complicate calculations by having to work out the number facts within them. Times Tables Rock Stars is supported by web and mobile apps and promotes the learning of times table facts. We introduce TTRS in Year 3 and it runs through to the end of Year 6. Weekly challenges and battles are set between year groups and classes to encourage the children to use this programme at home.
Goal
When it comes to times tables, speed AND accuracy are important. Times Table Rock Stars is a fun programme designed to help students master the times tables!
To be a Times Table Rock Star you need to answer any multiplication fact up to 12×12 in less than 3 seconds!
Logging in to Times Tables Rock Stars
Click on: play.ttrockstars.com (or type it into your browser’s address bar).
Click Login! > School > Student
Enter the School Name.
Enter your child’s username and password.
Times Tables Rock Stars App
The Times Tables Rock Stars App is available at the Apple Store and on Google Play Store. This allows children to use Times Tables Rock Stars on mobile devices and tablets.
The app is free to download but your child will need to enter their login details to play.
