Year 1 trip to Kenley Common

On Monday 6th November, Year 1 walked to Kenley Common to do an Autumn colour wheel activity and to explore the area.  It is such a privilege to have this open space on our doorstep and we were so lucky to have a beautiful autumn afternoon.  The children were so enthusiastic and collected lots of autumn artefacts for their bags.  We were lucky enough to see some animals grazing and to have a competition to see who could get the longest blades of grass (I think the parent helpers won that one).

A huge thank you to all the parental support we had on the trip and to the rangers who gave us a guided walk.  The children were great role models and loved exploring the environment.
