You should only send your child to school on Monday if you have to, because your work is critical to our COVID-19 response. If you are able to keep your child at home, you should. https://t.co/n1B1gngVWr

1N were excited at the toy handling workshop yesterday. They learnt so much about how toys have changed over the years, the materials and the forces! Some of their favourites were the jack in the box, the wooden animals, the pull along toys and the old teddy bear! https://t.co/CsW8opDQ9U

School Closure Updates

Dear Parents/ Carers,

I am writing to let you know we have been instructed to close the school to almost all children at the end of the school day tomorrow, Friday 20th March, until further notice.  As advised by the government, we will do all we can to stay open for the children of key workers (e.g. NHS staff, police and others in frontline services) and some of our vulnerable children.  We are waiting for the government to publish more information on what this means and we will be in touch again as soon as we are sure who this applies to. In the meantime, if you have not done so already, please email info@whyteleafeschool.org as soon as possible if you are a ‘key worker’ and will rely on educational provision in order to keep working.  All other children will need to stay at home, so we ask that you do not send your child to school from Monday 23rd March.

Attached is a letter from Jon Chaloner, GLFs CEO. The letter has gone to all GLF schools.

All assessments in primary school, including end of Key Stage 1 assessments in Year 2 and end of Key Stage 2 assessments in Year 6, phonics screening checks in Year 1 and multiplication tables checks in Year 4 will be cancelled.
