Weekly Parentmail

Weekly Parentmail W/E: 19th May

Dear parents,

Please find this weeks’ messages from the school and the PTA.

Photo Orders

Packs will be coming home today to order class photos and need to be handed in to school office by 4pm Wednesday 24th May.  If you wish to see a full-size copy they are available to view in the school office.

Collection from clubs

New system seems to be working well but can we ask you to remind the children to go and get their lunch boxes from the hall BEFORE they go to the club so that they are ready to leave by the side gate in Church Road when the club has finished. Also can parents please ensure that they are off the school site by 3.20pm and do not come back onto the site unless it is to collect a child from WASPS when you will be buzzed through the gate by WASP’s staff.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Yr 3 Greek Day

Year 3 will have a Greek day on 16th June, children are invited to come into school in their Greek outfits for the whole day. The children will undertake a number of activities, please ensure they wear comfortable footwear.

Yr 3 Greek Museum

Year 3 would like to invite their parents and carers to come and see their work they have been doing on Ancient Greece on Monday 3rd July. The children will be showcasing their work to the rest of the school during the day and would like parents to come into school hall for 2.15pm-2.45pm. Children will be invited to  wear their Greek outfit for the whole day for this event too.

Year 3 Aprons

Please could Year 3 children bring in aprons on Thursday 15th June for our clay making morning as this will be a very messy morning. Old shirts or aprons will be sufficient. Thank you very much, from the Year 3 teachers.

Un-collected items

We still have a cake tin, plate and Tupperware container that have not been collected from the office since the Children in Need cake sale. These will be thrown away if not collected by this Friday 19th May.

Summer Fair - Saturday June 24th

Please watch out over the next couple of weeks, as lots of information will be coming your way.

The volunteer forms are coming out this week via the children, as well as attached to this Parent Mail. Please let us know ASAP if you can help.

Secret Box

Instead of our traditional teddy stall we are trailing a new stall 'The Secret Box' which we hope will be popular change.

This can be any box from a match box up but no bigger than a shoe box.

This box can be decorated, then filled with anything you like, from money, to new or preloved toys. Get creative, but no perishables please. Please see the attachment for full instructions.

Boxes should be returned to the PTA hatch on the morning of Friday 19th May.

All children bringing in a box can wear their own shoes/trainers in exchange.

Any enquiries please email whyteleafepta@gmail.com
