WASPS

The aim of our after school club is to provide a safe stimulating
and fun environment where children can mix and play with other
children. There is also an opportunity to learn or develop new skills,
socially, physically, Intellectually, creatively and emotionally.

WASPS caters for children who are four years of age or over. We welcome children from all backgrounds, cultures and
religions and also Children with special needs. We can accept a maximum of 48 children under 8 years of age at each
afternoon session. This maintains a staff ratio of 1 adult to every 8 children under 8 years of age; we aim to keep a 1:8
ratio for children aged over 8 as well. Priority will be given to children who are attending 5 sessions a week; thereafter
places will be allocated on a basis of most frequent users.

We charge a fee of £6.00 per session. There is also a registration fee of £5.00 to cover initial administrational costs.

Breakfast Club: 7.45 - 8.45 (£3.75 per morning) - An opportunity to relax and prepare for the day; finish homework
breakfast TV on offer. Cereal, toast, other breakfast foods and a drink included in cost. Children in Reception
and Year 1 are delivered to the classroom at 8.45.

After School Club: 3.00 - 5.45 (£6.00 per session) - Free play during the first part of the afternoon, afterwards
Varied and interesting assortment of activities including painting, drawing, cutting, junk modeling, sticking, a quiet
Corner for homework, books, dressing up, board games, dolls cars, Lego, construction equipment, snooker,
Table tennis, table football and a wide range of outdoor equipment.

Snacks are on offer consisting of a piece of fruit and a biscuit and a drink of squash (orange, blackcurrant or lemon.).
some children also bring their own “tea/supper” in a packed lunch box.
