Great to be there with you this morning. I’ll be back for some proper art lessons...if I had a natural ability for clay work then it’s hidden well! Brilliant to have an Artist’s Studio https://t.co/61Kg7T0feV

Ruby Satchell’s Race Report

On Tuesday the 6th of November 2018 Whyteleafe School headed of to the Cross Country race at St Francis'. Before we started we did the best warm up in the world (a Mr Reardon warm up). My race was 3rd and then...ON YOURS MARKS...GET SET...GO!!!!! Off we went like minions racing of to capture a villain, I remembered what Mr Reardon had told me - start with a slow jog and when you get closer to the finish line go faster. I got very tired during the last lap. I could see the finish and I pushed my way forward, I overtook a few people before crossing the finish line!!! I had made it finally, I came 20th.

My runner of the week is Poppy Holding because she ran really well and persevered. She came 2nd!!!!

Poppy Lewis's Race Report

On Tuesday 6th of November 2018, Whyteleafe school running team took part at race at St Francis' school. Before the first race started we all did Mr Reardon's warm ups. I was starting to get nervous. My race was 3rd, it came. The whistle went and we were off like lions racing for a zebra. I had planned my race in advance and I started off jogging before building up speed, however I got very tired on the last lap (but I didn’t stop.) I could see the finish line so I did a sprint finish! I came 6th and I was really proud of myself. At the end, I collapsed on the floor in front of Mr Reardon.

My runner of the week is Ruby because it was her first race and she did really well, she came 20th and she doesn’t even go to Cross Country Club!
